Speaker Nancy Pelosi opened her weekly press conference on Thursday with comments on HR1 — a sweeping voting rights and ethics overhaul that will get a floor vote on Friday. Questions from reporters quickly focused on the controversy around freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar and an anti-hate resolution getting a vote Thursday.
