Wyden: Drugmaker protects Humira exclusivity ‘like Gollum with his ring’

Drug industry executives lined up before the Senate Finance Committee Tuesday morning. While some senators warned the seven sitting in front of them to cease pointing fingers, Sen. Ron Wyden was less restrained in his comments. “Drugmakers behave as if patients and taxpayers are unlocked ATMs full of cash to be extracted, and the shareholders are the customers that they value above anybody else,” Wyden said.
