Trump Says He Doesn’t Know Matt Whitaker

President Donald Trump addressed his appointment of Matt Whitaker to acting attorney general ahead of his trip to Europe on Friday. The president denied ever knowing Whitaker despite having worked as former attorney general Sessions’ chief of staff, and pushed back against the notion that Whitaker may limit the scope of Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign.
