Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation begins in earnest on Wednesday. With opening statements out of the way, Democrats on Senate Judiciary Committee are expected to grill the Supreme Court nominee in the first day of questioning. CQ legal affairs reporter Todd Ruger takes a look at the battle lines drawn on Tuesday and what issues he expects to take precedence as the confirmation hearing continues on Wednesday.
