House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer said the Republican party will suffer in the midterms as a result of their tax overhaul bill. “Passing a bill that raises taxes on the middle class, while slashing them for the rich and wealthiest corporations is political insanity, plain and simple” Schumer said at a joint news conference with Pelosi on Monday.
