Schilling Endorses ‘My Choice’ for Senate, and it Isn’t Him
Comes after he had considered running against Elizabeth Warren
Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling is looking less likely to run for Senate in Massachusetts against Elizabeth Warren after saying he backs another candidate.
Schilling had previously indicated he would run if his wife Shonda approved.
But as Boston Magazine noted, Schilling tweeted support for Shiva Ayyadurai, an Indian-born Fulbright scholar.
In his tweets, Schilling called Ayyadurai a “REAL INDIAN,” an allusion to the controversy over Warren citing her Native American heritage in her biography.

Schilling called Ayyadurai “my choice” and called Warren “#Fauxcahontas.” President Donald Trump had taken to calling Warren “Pocahontas.” Ayyadurai thanked Schilling for his support.
