Obama to Congress: Louisiana Flooding May Need More Funding

President Barack Obama said at a press briefing in Baton Rouge on Tuesday that Congress “may be called upon to do more,” once existing federal funds for the response to flooding in Louisiana run out. He noted that a number of Louisiana lawmakers with him at the briefing “happen to be in the majority.” He continued: “I suspect that they may be able to talk to the speaker and talk to Mitch McConnell.”
