Rep. Adam B. Schiff, D-Calif., broke into song on the House floor Friday, but not by choice. The California Democrat lost a bet with fellow Democratic Rep. Steve Israel of New York, when the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the New York Mets last week in the National League playoffs. Schiff took to the House floor donning what appeared to be a tie with the Mets logo taped on it. “I will have no interest in extending my remarks,” he said, explaining that he lost a bet to Israel. “Now Steve, this song is for you,” Schiff said before begrudgingly embarking on his own rendition of “Meet the Mets.”
