President Barack Obama apologized to Doctors Without Borders President Joanne Liu and Aghan President Ashraf Ghani for the bombing of a hospital in Kunduz in phone calls this morning from the Oval Office, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest announced at his daily briefing. Earnest said the president committed to an investigation that would lay out the facts and would take action, if necessary, to make incidents like this less likely in the future. Earnest said he’s seen no evidence the incident was anything other than a tragic accident.
