With House Republicans searching for a conference-unifying strategy to avoid a government shutdown at month’s end, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday dismissed GOP maneuvering on a series of abortion-related measures this week as intentional obstructionism, saying conservatives’ “goal” is a government shutdown.As for whether Speaker John A. Boehner has approached her yet to discuss options for short-term funding legislation, Pelosi replied, “I have spoken to Speaker Boehner about when we will speak about it.” Read more.
